This is the text of a poem I wrote when I was 6, shortly after learning to write.

It was the first time in my life that I felt the possibility of transform an inner emotion through an expressive medium.

For a long time now photography has become my means of expression, but what has not changed is the need to see the sea.

all the photos are taken on medium and large format color negative film and are an extract from my larger series “Topografia meridiana”, which deals with the upheaval of marine places affected by mass tourism, with the consequent dichotomy between the sweetened vision spread by tourist postcards and the images of the real place with everything that is on the margin, and the series “Only memories survive the beaches” which deals with the theme of coastal erosion in the Mediterranean.
