Honorable Mention
Within space, functions and events are irreversibly stripped away, leaving only structure behind.
What emerges is not the trace of use, but a state of pure visual arrangement.
Repetitive forms, accumulated layers, and structures that interfere with one another.
Detached from meaning and purpose, they remain unencoded, settling as nonverbal visual matter.
Contemporary urban space increasingly demands meaning—
narratives, emotional resonance, and scenes that resemble fragments of cinema.
Vision is saturated with information, continuously directed toward interpretation.
This work operates as a counterposition to that condition.
Rather than assigning meaning to overlooked scenes,
it attends to what remains when meaning is withheld:
forms and structures left behind, unresolved and unclaimed.
What is presented here exists prior to interpretation—
a condition in which vision materializes and accumulates as sediment.
