Gold Medal
Returning to my hometown, I was confronted by the many layers of the past. Back in the countryside, I began revisiting my secret places, those hidden landscapes etched into memory, full of scents, sounds, and emotions that lingered just beneath the surface.
What began as quiet wandering gradually became a cathartic re- exploration of my familiar surroundings, this time alongside beloved figures from my present life. Together, we moved through spaces once held in solitude, now reinhabited, reimagined.
I found myself drawn to moments of eerie serenity, the stillness that lives between light and darkness, between dream and memory. Seduced by total darkness, I explored the forms that light can reveal, creating a world suspended between reality and fiction, between dreams and nightmares, past and present.
Through distortion, there is clarity. Through abandonment, a kind of presence. With these photographs, I invite the viewer to feel what I felt, to walk with me, to see and experience these intimate paths where memory and light intertwine.
