Searching for the In-Between: Time and Body

“Searching for the In-Between: Time and Body” examines the relationship between photography, dance, and memory through extended exposure. Rather than fixing the body in a single moment, the work allows time to accumulate within the image. Movement is not clarified but dispersed. The body emerges as a temporal trace—shifting, recurring, dissolving—resisting stable form.

What appears is not distortion, but duration made visible. The image no longer confirms presence; it registers its transformation.

The use of black and white operates as reduction. By removing color, the body is released from material specificity and reconfigured as light, rhythm, and interval. It is no longer an object to be seen, but a process unfolding in time.
