The series Dark Times for Light Metal’s explores the industrial landscape as a space in which human presence becomes increasingly silent and less visible. The photographs are not a document of the plant, but a visual study of the relationship between the worker and the system that transcends him.
In the black and white contrast, light becomes the bearer of meaning. The human figure, often marked by a white hard hat, is the most visible element of the frame, but remains anonymous. The face is hidden, the gaze unreturned. The worker is present, but without an individual voice.
Industrial constructions occupy space with mass and permanence, even though they are immersed in darkness. Their power does not come from spectacle, but from implication. The visual hierarchy emphasizes asymmetry: man is bright, but small; the system is dark, but dominant.
The series does not romanticize industry or heroize labor. It observes the moment when infrastructure remains, and man slowly disappears from the collective image of labor. In this silence, the question is asked: who remains visible, and who becomes part of the shadow?
