STREETS OF TIRANA

Streets of Tirana is a photographic essay I created during my stay in Tirana, from December 22nd to 27th, 2025. During those days, I wandered the city without a fixed itinerary, from Mount Dajtit to its outskirts, letting myself be guided by the daily pulse of its streets. The images are observational photographs and adhere to the unwritten rules of street photography: public spaces, anonymous figures, and the complete absence of prior arrangements. However, unlike the common practice of many photographers in this genre, I don't seek to go unnoticed, either in my presence or in my use of photographic equipment. On the contrary, I am interested in the moment when someone notices the camera and establishes a spontaneous interaction with it. This moment of mutual recognition is the core of the project. I use photography as a tool that allows me to incorporate cinematic language techniques, which I use to reinforce and emphasize the narrative concept of the series.
