Honorable Mention
I have been photographing Antonin for thirty years. Rejecting medical categories and restrictive labels, this project moves away from diagnosis to explore a quiet presence. It is not about explaining a difference, but about making visible a relationship, a body, a gaze, repeated gestures, moments of tenderness and confusion. The journalistic potential lies in this long-term immersion: documenting everyday life outside the norm, revealing what is at stake in the almost nothing, in the tiny and the silent. The narrative and visual dimension is based on the moment, the fragment, the passing of time. Its humanistic relevance lies in the dignity accorded to the subject, without pathos or spectacle. The expected impact is to shift our perspective, question our frameworks of interpretation, and open up a space for recognition beyond labels.
