Kazmer is the term used to describe the small neighborhoods in my country where individuals who disregard human values and normalize criminal behavior are segregated. These areas house former inmates with diverse criminal histories, along with prostitutes and thieves, who constitute a minority within these neighborhoods. In this project, I aim to capture the darker aspects of human nature that we all possess and struggle with. My objective is to depict the atmosphere of life in Kazmer – the shadowy realms within our collective consciousness. Driven by my keen curiosity toward such self-destructive tendencies, I seek to create a documentary-style personal fiction. I delve into questions such as: What is it like to inhabit darkness, and why do individuals opt for this path? Is it an innate inclination or a result of external influences? This project will trace the footsteps of darkness – exploring the shadows as they manifest in my own consciousness.
