Honorable Mention
Photographed during a journey through northern India, this series observes fragments of everyday life unfolding between streets, riverbanks and sacred spaces. Each image captures a brief encounter within a larger living ecosystem where people, animals, rituals, and landscapes coexist in constant motion.
From moments of visible poverty to gestures of tenderness, from the shadow of a dancer to birds circling above the water and a flirtatious moment of a Sadhu, these scenes reveal the many layers that exist side by side. Life unfolds simultaneously in hardship, devotion, play, labor, stillness and movement, life and death. The river, the streets, and the people who inhabit them form an interconnected world where everything seems to exist in relation to everything else.
Together, these images reflect the full spectrum of life encountered during the journey. They are not staged moments, but brief alignments of observation and presence: fragments of a place where the sacred and the ordinary exist inseparably. Through these encounters, the act of photographing became less about documenting and more about being present within a living rhythm that connects people, animals, landscape and spirit.
