Flowing Toward Moksha
In February 2025, during the Maya Kumbh Mela, 600 millions people gather along the banks of the Ganges in Prayagraj and Varanasi, drawn by a shared desire for renewal. At sunrise, pilgrims step into the cold water, believing each immersion brings them closer to Moksha—a release from the weight of karma and the cycle of rebirth.
Everywhere, the color orange moves through the crowd—robes, scarves, and ash-marked bodies—symbolizing renunciation, faith, and transformation.
People come from all over India, sleep in tents on the streets, Sadhus -holy man- come down from the caves on the mountains only for a drop of Maa Ganga make them flow toward Moksha.
