Honorable Mention
This image is part of a long-term project devoted to the passage of time, seen through the lens of a relationship with my daughter.
The body floats in water, as if removed from time. Covered with a thin, translucent fabric, it becomes both present and distant — visible, yet elusive. The face disappears beneath a layer of material, like a memory slowly losing its clarity.
Water is not merely a space here — it is memory. It trembles, refracts light, dissolves contours, reminding us that every moment instantly becomes the past. The child’s body, still light, still soft, is suspended between what has been and what is inevitable.
This is an image of transience without dramatic gesture. It unfolds quietly — in a slow immersion, in the gentle blurring of boundaries, in the loss of distinct forms.
It is also a story of closeness — an attempt to hold onto a moment that, by its very nature, cannot be held.
