Honorable Mention

Mr  Matteo  Rea (Italie)
Hold me, don't leave me alone

Hold me, don't leave me alone

Hold me, don't leave me alone

Patrizia, robbed and abandoned by her husband for another woman, him, her great love. The pain tore her soul and consumed her mind, so much so that she found herself living alone outside Termini station. Now, in the clinic, she hugs the stuffed animal she believes is the son she never had with her beloved. One day, in the midst of one of her usual delusions, she looked me in the eyes and said: "In the next room I have placed some sheets, inside you will find money, take it and use it for your own good." That money wasn't there, nor was the next room with the sheets, but I found, like a priceless treasure, something deeper, the gift. It is the myrrh of the Magi, the small change of the widow in the Gospel. This is how Patrizia taught me the meaning of these words: "Truly I tell you, this widow has put in more than all the others. For while they all contributed out of their abundance, she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on."
