This photograph was done while visiting the Trocadero in Paris in May 2025.

As quite often in these situations, I was feeling uncomfortable with the touristy attitude seen around of people wanting to have a typical selfie/postcard photo-souvenir of them and the monument in the background. I looked for something different and was insisting to find it. Taking many steps backwards, thus opening the space, widening the scene -and getting out of the lighted, shiny zone- lead me to these funny subjects that were also living their birdy life in Paris - resulting in an interesting, shadowy dialogue of silhouettes between the famous monument and its other inhabitants.
